here is what Aaron and I came up with while brainstorming about a week ago
Accountability- student and teacher accountability (in the class room)
amongst organizers (we do what we say we do, or when we don’t, we say we haven’t done what we said we would) -acknowledgement
What dynamics are we looking for when we say accountability?
What processes can we use for accountability that remain focused on dynamics and not procedure?
Transparency- who made decisions? Using what criteria?
Distinguish between decision making (relating to now) and planning (what are we working towards)
Those affected by a decision recognize how (the process by which) that decision is made
Can we create documents (about the school) that point to how they are created?
Can we articulate our values?
Do organizers want to function as a collective? What is currently happening that could prevent or deter that?
Do current participants want to function as a collective?
Participation- Obvious avenues to participation
Who does the work of enacting a decision?
How is it organized and documented? A server?
How is that work recognized?
Care- Why are we here?
How can we treat each other so that we like ourselves and each other more?
How do we address differences in communication styles, desire to work and what kind of work?
What makes us feel comfortable being vuenerable?
Our policies subvert bureaucracy and leave flexibility for imagination and changing tactics towards a desirable society.
Planning- false statements: SDaS does not rely on tuition. Current participants of SDaS are representative of the diversity and variety of the 99%.
